Play XV Sudoku

XV adds X or V between two cells. Cells with X must sum to 10 and cells with V must sum to 5. Pair of cells connected with a constraint are sometimes called domino.

XV Sudoku Solving Strategies

When a single house (box, row or column) contains two Vs, those Vs must contain 1, 2, 3 and 4 since there is only two ways for numbers to sum to 5 (1 + 4 and 2 + 3). Candidates for 1, 2, 3 and 4 can be removed from other cells in the house.

In case of pointing pairs, same pair cannot be use on the X or V domino that is pointed to.

X and V dominoes can be connected if edge cells are not in the same house. Following grid is valid.
